He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret MacQuarrie (MacEachen) and Murdock MacQuarrie; his in-laws, William Whelan of Falmouth, Robert Evers of San Antonio and Ronald Carrara of Marshfield; his siblings, Allen MacQuarrie, Christine Kelly and Donald MacQuarrie; and his brothers-in-law, John Gerald Kelly and Leo Jamieson.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadette MacQuarrie (Mee); his children, Anne Romano (Danny) of Hanover, Thomas MacQuarrie of Quincy, Joseph MacQuarrie of Maidenhead, U. K. and Jeanne Lundon of Milton; his grandchildren, Joseph Romano, Danielle Murray (Romano), William, Christina MacQuarrie, Marie-Sophie, Amaranth MacQuarrie and Liam Lundon; his sisters, Mary Jamieson of Dorchester and Isabel Carey (Joe) of Quincy; his in-laws, Mary, Anne and Frances; and his sister-in-law Marcie MacQuarrie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home (326 Granite Ave, Milton, MA 02186). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Mark's Church (1725 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester Center, MA 02124). A burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at the Milton Cemetery (211 Centre St, Milton, MA 02186).
