He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene J. Durgin and Dorothy Durgin (Donovan) of Milton, MA.; and his brother Robert Durgin of Hingham. He is survived by: his wife Carol Durgin (Hyde); his stepdaughters, Pamela Kennedy and Karen Kennedy; his grandchildren, Oliver Durgin and Jessica Durgin; and his siblings, Maria Capobianco (Durgin) of Mashpee and Paul Durgin of Milton.
