He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth M. Coughlin (Sullivan); and his siblings, Gloria Hurley and Joseph I. Coughlin. He is survived by: his children, Edward J. Coughlin (Julie) of Needham, Sharon E. Coughlin of Milton and Neal F. Coughlin (Nancy) of Milton; his grandchildren, Andrew Coughlin, Kristina Sanchez, Christopher Gilbert, Colin Coughlin and Joseph Coughlin; and his great grandchildren, Ander and Isabel Sanchez.
