It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Craig David Smallwood (Milton, Massachusetts), born in Newmarket, Ontario, who passed away on April 10, 2020, at the age of 36, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, David Smallwood and Sheryl Smallwood (Pogue) of Barrie; his wife Erika E. Smallwood (Martin); his daughter Sadie Anna; his grandson Maxwell Craig; his son Maxwell; his sister Sara (Mark Fisk) of Calgary Alberta, Canada; his parents-in-law, Bradford and Elizabeth M. Martin (Bonk) of Agawam; his brother-in-law Bradford "Duke" Martin III; and his grandmother June Pogue of Aurora. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Before his untimely passing, Craig was working on the design and deployment of respiratory assist devices for treatment of COVID-19 patients in the developing world where ventilators are scarce.
