He was predeceased by: his parents, Bihari Lal Kapoor and Jai Rani Kapoor (Mehra); and his sister Krishna Mahajan. He is survived by: his wife Meena Kapoor (Mehra); his children, Alok K. Kapoor (late Karrie) and Daughter Aarti Comstock (Kapoor) of South Salem, NY.; his sisters, Archana Grover (Vinod Grover) and Sujata Rai (Narender Rai); his grandchildren, Raj, Nikhil (Jacquelin), Margaret, Ajay Kapoor of Monroe Township, Elizabeth Kapoor of Milton, Ryan, Samantha and Deven Comstock of South Salem; and his nieces and nephews, Nameet, Sameer, Puja, Umesh, Anu, Anuranjan, Suverchala, Nivedita, Soni, Sumit, Chintu and Amit. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Ashok's name may be made to the American Diabetes Association (https://diabetes.org), or the Karrie Kapoor Cellular Immunotherapy Fund honoring Ashok's beloved late daughter-in-law Karrie.
