He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph, Sr. Welch and Florence Welch (Lindahl). He is survived by: his wife Doris Stanley of Lubec, ME; his children, Stacy Dickinson (Gary) of Boothbay, Katie Wales (Jim) of Sanford, Chad Welch (Sandra) of Swansboro, NC, Wendy Aldrich (Todd) of Lyman, NH and Teresa Orne Bryer of Boothbay; his grandchildren, Alex, Aaron Dickinson, Todd, Paige Wales, Grace, Finley Aldrich, Kyle Welch, Stephanie and Megan Bryer; and his brother-in-law Gary (Almeda). He is also survived by three great- grandchildren.
