He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mael and Nellie Mael (Braverman). He is survived by: his wife Naomi Mael (Forman); his children, Robin Mael, Linda Decker (Donald) and Susan Schrank (David); his sibling Nysen Mael; and his grandchildren, Erika Decker (Joseph Forbes), Samantha Nemeth (Andy) and Michael Decker.
