He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacques Barzilay and Lili Barzilay (Sharfman); and his sister Nora Sirman (Neset Sirman) of Istanbul. He is survived by: his spouse Marika Barzilay (Fordell); his daughters, Abigail J. Ben David (David) of Israel and Karen L. Barzilay (Timothy J. Abberton); his grandchildren, Adva Ben David and Asaf Tablom of Israel; his nieces, Nukhet Sirman of Istanbul, Nihal Sirman of Italy and Dessi Pfaffli of Finland; and his stepchildren, Pauli Pitkanen and Yvonne Ikonen of Finland.
