He is survived by: his mother Annmarie Kavanaugh (Frank "Bill" Newton) of Erving, MA; his sister Julie Ann Johnson of Springdale; his niece Sarah Davis (Chance); his brothers, Peter W. Gilbert (Brenda) of Brattleboro, VT. and Paul J. Gilbert (Tamera Besser-Gilbert) of Chicago, IL; his niece Olivia Besser-Gilbert of Chicago, IL; his nephew Alex Besser-Gilbert; and his uncle William Kavanaugh of Florida. He is also survived by friends and coworkers.
A Memorial Service is planned in 2021, for family and friends when COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
