She was predeceased by: her husband George Thomas; her parents, Claude E. Bates and Mary Whittles Bates; and her siblings, Eleanor, Myron, John and Charlotte.
She is survived by: her children, George Thomas (Jackie), Douglas Thomas of Bourne, Beth Thomas Porter (David) of Berlin and Bradley Thomas of Millbury. She is also survived by 34 nieces and nephews.
