He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Johnson and Delia P. Johnson (Roche); and his sisters, Margaret P. Moriconi, Ann T. Burke and Jane M. Wrenn.

He is survived by: his children, Carin (Michael Dias) of Milford, MA, William P. Johnson Jr. (Joanne) of Silver Spring, MD and Michael B. Johnson of Milford, MA; his grandchildren, Joseph Dias of Milford, MA, Crimson Johnson and Ryan Johnson of Silver Spring, MD; and his siblings, Mary E. Maguire (Thomas) of Canton, MA, Della C. O'Donnell (Peter) of Easton, MA, Michael K. Johnson of Brockton, MA and Richard B. Johnson of California. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
