It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth V. Melia (Milford, Massachusetts), born in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 29, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Northbridge Police Chief Thomas. She is survived by: her sons, Northbridge Police Chief and Thomas Melia III; her wife Joanne Melia of Whitinsville; her parents, Anthony Valis and Helen Valis (Greene); and also, Lieutenant Melia and Robert Melia (Deborah) of Sandwich. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 9 great children, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donation's in Ruth's memory may be made to St. Camillus Health Care Center, 447 Hill St., Whitinsville.
