She was predeceased by: her husband Joao Alves Tomas; her parents, Jose Joaquim Fontes and Rosa Fontes (Casellas); and her siblings, Anna Fontes, Maria Fontes, Isabel Fontes, Louisa Fontes and Gracinda Fontes.
She is survived by: her children, Joao Tomas (Maria Gil Tomas) of Portugal, Bento Tomas (Gloria Gil Tomas) of Portugal and Maria Goncalves of Milford, MA; and her grandchildren, Helena Lopes of Milford, MA, Paul Tomas of Milford, MA, Jose Tomas of Portugal, Jose "Joe" Goncalves Jr. (Theresa) of Milford, MA, Rosinha Tomas of Portugal, Moses Goncalves of Milford, MA, Paulo Tomas of Portugal and Tony Tomas of Hopedale, MA. She is also survived by several great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.
