She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph McGovern and Ellen McGovern (Lowell). She is survived by: her husband Dennis J. Afflerbach; her children, Denise M. Lafer (Alex) of Milford, MA and Chris Afflerbach of Milford, MA; her grandchildren, Liam Lafer and Vivienne Lafer; and her siblings, Eileen McGovern, Marie Ladley and Chrissy Cassidy. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
