He was predeceased by: his parents, German Mercado and Rosa Perez; and his brother Luis A. Mercado. He is survived by: his siblings, Carmen L. Mercado, Maria E. Mercado, Luis Mercado, Angel Mercado and Ruben Mercado. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
