With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin R. Merchant (Milford, Massachusetts), born in Mexico, Maine, who passed away on November 11, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Merchant and Mary Merchant (Arsenault); his child Matthew Merchant; and his siblings, Clyde Merchant, Everett Merchant, Buddy Merchant and Ralph Merchant.
He is survived by: his spouse Joan L. Merchant (Gilks); his children, Sharon (David Faherty) of Northbridge, Brenda (Brian Phillips) of Milford, Kim (Donald Blauth) of Uxbridge, Kelly (Joe Castignetti) of Medway, Penny Muise of Milford, Carrie (Denis Sherlock) of Bellingham, Michael Merchant (Tammi) and Mark Merchant (Cheryl); his sisters, Marjorie Scott of Maine and Marie Adams; and his daughter-in-law Kelly Merchant (Griffin) of Hopedale. He is also survived by 24 Grandchildren; 31 Great Grandchildren.
