He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Michael (Kathy MacDonald) of Fitchburg, Kelly Balanca (Jeff) of Douglas and Amy MacDonald of Douglas; his grandchildren, Mikayla Schmider (Curtis), Marissa MacDonald, Zach McIntyre, Gabriella Balanca, Nate VanderZicht and Matthew MacDonald; and his parents, John "Jack" MacDonald and Catherine MacDonald (Donaghue). He was also cherished by many brothers and sisters as well as nieces and nephews.
