She was predeceased by: her father Joseph F. Tierney. She is survived by: her mother Virginia T. Tierney (Houghton) of Waltham; her daughter Sarah E. Ernst (Torsten) of Rabun Gap, Georgia; her grandsons, Elias A. and Amundsen O. A. Ernst; and her siblings, Patricia J. Sullivan of Newton, Joseph F. Tierney of Needham, Lawrence R. Tierney of Waltham, Virginia M. Schwoerer of Storrs, CT and Timothy P. Tierney of Needham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
