He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Michael and Elizabeth Michael (McMahon); his wife Genevieve Michael (Amaral); his daughter June T. Bailey (Michael); and his brother Joseph Michael.

He is survived by: his son John F. Michael of Middleborough; his grandson Daniel Bailey of Wareham; his great grandchild Danielle Bailey of Wareham; and his siblings, Manuel Michael, Francis Michael, William Michael, George Michael, Irene Sylvia and Elizabeth Gouvea.
