It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Madeline Wylie (Middleborough, Massachusetts), born in Swansea, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband G. James Wylie; her parents, William Peters and Edith Peters; and her brother William. She is survived by: her children, David Wylie (Ellen) and Kathryn Schofield (Steven); her grandchildren, Rachael Fernandes (Rich), Jonathan Wylie (Jillian Perry), Matthew Schofield (Chelsea) and Tyler Schofield (Alyssa); her great grandchildren, Norah Eve, Rowan James Schofield and Brooke Madelyn Fernandes; and her siblings, Clara Misiorski of Simsbury, John, Robert, George, James, Charles, Edith, Elizabeth, Catherine and Alice Peters. She is also survived by 54 nieces and nephews.

“I am deeply sorry for your loss. Mrs. Wylie was my neighbor for 18 years. Her and her husband were both wonderful people. When I first moved in, I didn't own a lawnmower yet and Mr. Wylie offered to cut my grass until I bought one. When my daughter was born, Mrs. Wylie made her a beautiful baby blanket. Amazing neighbors and people! Thoughts and prayers for her family.”
