She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Smarsh and Nellie Smarsh (Sowyrda); her nephew Robert Riley; and her sister Eva Riley. She is survived by: her nephew William "Bill" Riley of Poquoson; her niece Virginia; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Shannon Riley and Ashlynn Schar; and her siblings, Ann Smarsh and David Smarsh.
