George Austin Dean III Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Austin Dean III of Middleborough, Massachusetts, born in Brockton, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 11, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Susan Dean (Mahan); his son Peter Dean; and his girlfriend Grace McCarthy. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Dean of Taunton and Edward Dean (Jennifer) of Indian Trail, NC; his sisters, Martha O'Meara (late Jack) of Bourne and Regina Schraut (Mark) of Holbrook; his grandchildren, David L. Soule, III (Papa George), Bayleigh Gidney, Delaney Dean, Sam Dean, Jamie Dean and Jesse Dean; and his great grandchildren, Ben, Tabitha, William and Margot.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ashley Funeral Home (35 Oak St, Middleborough, MA 02346). A prayer will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Drolette Funeral Services, Inc. Dba Ashley Funeral Home (35 Oak St, Middleborough, MA 02346).
He donated to many charities that were meaningful and important to him including the Disabled Vets Foundation, Defenders of Wildlife, Saint Jude Children's Hospital, Paralyzed Veterans of America and many more.
