He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer L. Wing Sr. and Ervilla Nunes (Haskins). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Wing (Thayer); his children, Ronnie Gregg, Elmer L. Wing III (Brenda Westgate), Patricia Sousa (Jason), Jennifer Thayer, Annie Wing, Bethany St. Germain, Christina Drew-Wing (Derek Mauricio), Lethia Eason-Tate (Aria) and Dominique Daily (Donte); and also Josh Major. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, six brothers and sisters along with their spouses, many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

“To my second family. Elmer was like a second dad and Elmie was like a brother. It's so sad having drifted apart as we got older. But elmer always hugged and remembered me no matter how long passed by. I unfortunately didn't know about services till right now because I was in the middle of a dream about this so I had to Google it. My prayers are with each and every one of you. He will always be missed. He was such a great guy.”
