He was predeceased by: his parent Oscar Asmus Schlaikjer; and his brother Jay Schlaikjer. He is survived by: his significant other Katherine Douglas; his children, Rebecca Ferland, Sydney, Taylor, Katherine Elise Schlaikjer and Andrew Hazen Schlaikjer (Moira Burke); his brother Paul Schlaikjer (Susan); his niece Carol Cybulska; and also Beatrix Mae Schlaikjer. He is also survived by his 7 nieces and nephews.
