Though Sharon may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sharon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl E. Parker and Mary Parker (Slattery). She is survived by: her husband Richard Kolenda of Lawrence; her son Richard J. Kolenda Jr. of Newburyport; her granddaughter Sarah Scanlon of Methuen; her great grandchildren, Aiden and Ava Scanlon; her sister Mary Rita Simonian of Methuen; and her friends, Robert A. Cody and Mary Joy Cody. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home (233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA 01844). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the Elmwood Cemetery (130 N Lowell St, Methuen, MA 01844).
