He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Lister and Gladys Muriel Lister (Ainsworth); his former wife Marie Elaine Zappala; his grandchild Shayla Rose; and his siblings, Dorothy, Gladys and Gordon.
He is survived by: his former wife Jean Elsie Pearson; his children, Jennifer Inese Kirlis (late Herbert Kirlis), Jean Louise Lister (Stephen Whipple), Betty Joan Franklin (David), Joseph Keighley Lister (Kim) and Robert David Lister (Erica); his sister Miriam; his grandchildren, Dana, Chris, Stephen, Killian, Jessie, Joey, MaKayla, Tyler, Hayleigh, Patrick and Robbie; his great grandchildren, Brittany, Destiny and Elleigha; and his great great grandchildren, Ayva, Brianna, Haven, Barrett and Scarlett.
