He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jose and Ercilia; and his parents, Adelaide and Jose Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Maria Leonor; his children, Joseph Barbara (Rita Barbara), Gracinda Bibbo (William Bibbo) and Gilbert Barbara; and his siblings, Gloria Sousa, Adelaide Fernandes and Luis Barbara (Osvalda Barbara). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
