He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Donahue (Curry); his daughter Cheryl Salemi (Stephen) of Billerica; and his siblings, James Donahue, Francis Donahue and Merilyn Holleran.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Donahue of Methuen, James Donahue (Laura) of Arlington, Nancy Jewer (Bruce) of Billerica and Brian Donahue (Jennifer) of Norton; his grandchildren, Stephen, Jacqueline, Philip, Danielle, Allison, Michelle, James, Emily, Brandon, Derek, Dylan and Paige; his great grandchildren, Edward and Callie; his sisters, Lorraine Stone and Patricia Holleran; and his close friend Chris. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Fred's name to Tufts Medicine Care at Home Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
