He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Lane and Agnes M. Lane (Dacey); his wife Dorothy T. Lane (Becotte); and his son-in-law Dr. Paul A. Ricciardi. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen M. Ricciardi of Holden, Brian E. Lane (Patricia) of Houston, TX, Kevin L. Lane (Nancy) of Methuen and Dr. Leo W. Lane (Holly) of Methuen; his grandchildren, Daniel Ricciardi (Hilary), Michael Ricciardi, Robert Lane (Jennifer), Dr. William Lane, Thomas Lane, Matthew Lane and Kaleigh Lane; and his great grandchildren, Hannah Ricciardi, Eleanor Ricciardi and Johnny Lane. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
