With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy V. Power of Methuen, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 17, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dorothy departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dorothy leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Smith and Katherine Smith (MacLeod); and her husband Richard Power (Dick). She is survived by: her cousins, Lorraine Nicholson of Arlington, MA and Lorne Compton of Arlington, MA; and her siblings-in-law, Dennis Flavin of Maine and Tina Power of New Hampshire. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
