She was predeceased by: her parents, Josef Sedlmaier and Amalia Sedlmaier (Stolz); her husband Albert W. Carlson; and her siblings, Erich Stolz, Rolf Sedlmaier and Selma Ratzow.

She is survived by: her children, Harald Carlson (Lauren) of Plymouth, Sonja Schwar of Easton, PA, Rolf Carlson (Stephen Gilman) of Westwood, Kurt Carlson (Cindi) of Hull and Sandra Carlson of Methuen; and her brother Helmut Sedlmaier of Canberra. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
