Pereira of Merrimac, Massachusetts, born in Fall River, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Pereira of Patrick's Cemetery; her parents, Albert O. Araujo and Filomena R. Araujo (Raposo); her grandmother Maria L. Raposo; her brother Albert O. Araujo, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Roger Hovey, Johann Detore and Roland Pereira; her niece Susan Pereira Alves; her nephew William Burdick; and her former husband John Detore (Jack).
She is survived by: her children, Lisa DiGiuseppe (Bill) of Newton, NH and Jack Detore (Laurie) of Burlington, VT; her grandchildren, Nicolas, Melissa and Christopher; her stepdaughters, Pamela Burdick (Jim) of Fall River, Nancy Pereira of Fall River and Jenifer Pereira-Weiss of Concord, CA; her grandchildren, Ryan, Samantha, Micah, Aja, Cade, Angelina and Andrew; her sister Leonor Percy (Paul) of Stowe, VT; and her sister-in-law Judy Araujo of Swansea. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
