It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Claflin of Mendon, Massachusetts, born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Maryann Claflin (Onistzuk); his parents, Russell Claflin and Elizabeth Claflin (Grady); and his siblings, Dorothy Rapko of North Smithfield, RI, Charles Claflin of Woonsocket, RI, Russell Claflin of Woonsocket, RI and John Claflin of Mendon.
He is survived by: his children, Cherilee A. (Stephen Kelly) of Whitinsville, Shannon E. (Bradley Elliott) of Mendon, Shawn P. (Jodi Claflin) of Douglas and James R. Claflin, Jr. (Jennifer) of Blackstone; his sister Phyllis Aldrich; and his grandchildren, Ian Kelly, Erin Kelly, Brandon Elliott, Ryan Elliott, Dillon Elliott, Noah Claflin, Hunter Claflin, Olivia Claflin and Jimmy Claflin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
