He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gilgunn and Mary Gilgunn; his wife Helen Gilgunn; and his siblings, Rose Strano, Mary Civilikus, Helen Kelly, Thomas Gilgunn, James Gilgunn and Joseph Gilgunn.

He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Gilgunn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
