Alice W. Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 10, 2024, at the age of 83, Alice W. Smith of Melrose, Massachusetts, born in Wilmington, Delaware passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alice W. Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell J. Whitcher and Exa Wylene Whitcher (Rumble); and her husband Frank S. Smith. She is survived by: her children, Rachel Smith (Sean Hughes) of Canton, Emily Smith-Sturr (Ted) of Melrose, Ben Smith (Bunny) of Colchester, CT, Matt Smith (Wendy Sulkazi) and Sheila of Shrewsbury; her siblings, Sarah Vickery, Wendell Whitcher, Jr. and Mary; her grandchildren, Holly, Belle, Charlotte, Isaac, Nicholas, Amanda, Thomas, Daniel and Ryan; and her great grandchild Faye. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church (838 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's memory can be made to Planned Parenthood, Act Blue, or the Grand Isle Rescue Squad.
