He is survived by: his wife Roberta M. Scherer (Fishbon); his children, Donna Buckley (Jim Buckley) of Medway and William F. Scherer, Jr. (Mary) of Bellingham; his brother John Scherer of Holliston; and his grandchildren, Patrick, Kerri-Ann (Doug Cochrane) and Craig (Julie Aldred).
