Robert Gaddis Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2021, at the age of 88, Robert Gaddis of Medway, Massachusetts, born in Arlington, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Edward Gaddis, Eleanor Finnerty and Ruth Aulenbach; and his parents, Michael E. Gaddis and Esther Gaddis (McNamara).

He is survived by: his wife Marguerite A. Gaddis (Fries) of Dudley; his sons, Mark Gaddis of Oxford, Peter Gaddis (Lori) of Arlington, VA and Kevin Gaddis of Dudley; his sister Margaret Quinn of South Salem, NY; his grandchildren, Rocco Merolli (Asia), Rebecca Ide (Mark), Amy Gaddis, Maggie Gaddis, Leiston Gaddis and Sutton Gaddis (Laura); and his great grandchild Carter Gaddis. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.

“My sincere condolences on the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. Although I did not know Bob, he was a childhood friend of my father (John Waugh Jr) in Arlington. He was kind to include a photo of the two of them when he sent his sympathies upon my father’s passing. I am attaching it here as I found it very sweet.
