He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin D. Fitzgerald and Helen F. Fitzgerald (Ulrich); his sister Carol Lynn Stohl; and his great grandchild Juniper Grace. He is survived by: his wife Nancy J. Fitzgerald (Chemidlin); his children, Caryn Sullivan, Brian Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Connors; his grandchildren, Charles Sullivan, Noelle Sullivan, Aidan Connors and Lucas Connors; and his brother Richard Fitzgerald of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a legion of friends.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Ed's memory to the American Cancer Society.
