He is survived by: his wife Judith McWhinnie (D'Amelio); his children, Lisa Graceffa (Anthony) of Medway, Tina Baia (Michael) of Marlborough and Joseph McWhinnie of Medway; his siblings, Rosemarie Castoldi of Waltham, Paul McWhinnie of Florida, William McWhinnie of Framingham, Dennis of Florida, Gregory of Florida and Marlene McWhinnie of Florida; his grandchildren, Dylan, Aaliyah, Nathan, Arianna, David, Joseph, Sophia, Gianna and Anthony; and his godmother Rita Forrester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
