She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Agnes Furey (Murtagh) and John Furey; her children, Susan (James Gray) of Greenville, ME, Janet (Barry Eisenberg), Andover, Nancy Gage of North Port, FL, John J. Bates of Franklin, Peter (Martha Bates) of North Kingston, RI, Brian Bates of Mims, FL and Mark (Barbara Bates) of Uxbridge; her siblings, Agnes "Bess" Cullinane of Canton, Theresa "Terry" Corcoran of Belmont and John Furey (C. Ss); her husband John P. Bates; her siblings, Thomas Furey and Ellen Driscoll; and her family Irish. She was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous in-laws, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine's memory to the American Cancer Society.
