He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Shirley (Sarney); his children, Marcy (Richard Glanz), Ruth Kohn, Joan (Steven Graff) and Michael (Alison Kaplan); and his grandchildren, Amanda Glanz, Daniel Glanz, Samuel Kohn, Thomas Kohn, Alex Graff, Eliza Graff, Isabel Kaplan and Jason Kaplan.
