She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence J. Zarella; her parents, Francesco Ricci and Angelina Ricci (Colantuono); and her son Lawrence J. Zarella Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Karen A. Petrocelli of Stoneham and Joseph A. (Lisa M. Zarella) of Peabody; her grandchildren, Vincent, Nicole, Christina, Tara, Thomas and Kristen; her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Danielle, Marissa, Ava, Gianna, Joseph and Luke; and her siblings, Jennie Cassano (Albert) of Stoughton, James, Alfred (John Ricci) and Elena Oppedisano. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A gathering to celebrate Mary's life will be held at a later date and donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
