Mary (DeLeo) Colleameno Obituary

Mary (DeLeo) Colleameno, a lifelong resident of Boston's North End, passed away at the age of 94, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on January 14, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Carmen and Louise (Cappucci) DeLeo. Mary's energetic demeanor coupled with her exterior and interior beauty, devout catholicism, and devotion to the senior Nazzaro Community center portrays the special woman she was and always will be. Mary also worked for many years at the Department of Revenue which she highly enjoyed.

Mary spent 63 years of marriage with her husband and best friend, Robert Colleameno. She was so proud of her children who she adored, Eva Solimine of Revere, and Robert Colleameno and his wife Marie of Medford. She was the loving nana of Leah Solimine and her loving companion Christopher Longo of San Diego, California and Jason Solimine and his wife Diana of Revere. Ollie who she referred to as her grandson, is the beloved family dog who stayed by her side up until her passing. Mary was the dear sister of the late Freddy DeLeo and his wife Frances, Millie Natorelli and her husband Archie, Phyllis Tavanesse and and her husband Tony, and Tony DeLeo and his wife Edith. She was sister-in-law of Lando Colleameno, Stephanie Colleameno, and Angie LeBeau and her husband Bill. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston, on Tuesday, January 25th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Due to concerns over Covid, visiting hours have been respectfully omitted and interment will be private. Mary's family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be made in the form of contributions to her favorite charity: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
