He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Sands and Eva D. Sands (Brosseau); his wife Janet E. Sands (Conroy); and his brother Richard Sands. He is survived by: his children, Stephen Sands (Dorothy) of Medford, Mary G. Diantgikis (James) of Peabody, John Sands (Evelina) of Melrose, Julie Russo, Hamilton, Kevin Sands (Lisa) and Reading; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Olivia, Danielle, Emily, Caleb and Isabella; and his sister Teri Eaton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
