James P. Whalen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James P. Whalen of Medford, Massachusetts, born in Somerville, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 29, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Whalen (Hanlon) and Patrick F. Whalen; his daughter Marie Monagle; and his sister Patricia Gosine. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Pat" Whalen (Burke); his children, Jim Whalen (Patricia) of Milford, NH and Patty Fothergill (Frank) of North Reading; and his siblings, John, Barbara Synan of Somerville, Francis of Groveland, Lawrence of Somerville and Helen Haneffant. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
