It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James J. Rooney of Medford, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 9, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James J. Rooney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret "Margie" Rooney (Armstrong); his son Robert Rooney; and his brother Paul Rooney. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen DeMarco (late John) of Malden and Kevin Rooney (Rita) of Everett; his grandchildren, Robyn, Lauren (Jacob), Kerry, Erin, Samantha and James; his great grandchildren, Megan, Emily and Grace; and his sisters, Mary Servodio (Joseph) of Florida and Ella Eden of Somerville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
