Hugh Desmond Murphy Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 19, 2022, Hugh Desmond Murphy of Medford, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Patti (Tully) of Medford; his children, Erin Rafferty (Barry) of Medford, Brian Hugh Murphy (Marcelo) of Medford and John Desmond Murphy of Somerville; his granddaughters, Julia, Hannah and Catherine "Katie" Rafferty; his pet Ruby; his siblings, Kathy Corcoran (Kevin) of Billerica, Mary Griffin of Billerica and Jeremiah (Paula) of Stoneham; and his mother-in-law Rita Tully of Medford. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Hugh's family asks that you make a donation to the Answer House, an addiction recovery program that played a big part in Hugh's sobriety journey. Donations can be made in Hugh's name at http://www.mhsainc.org, through the Middlesex Human Service Agency.
