He is survived by: his children, Sandy Matthews (Monie Buchanan) of DeLand, FL, Sharon (Robert Boudreau) of Salem, NH, Sheryll (Michael Russell) of Kingston, NH, Hugh Matthews Jr. (Debi) of Billerica, David Matthews of Winter Springs, FL and Renee (Andrew Meuse) of Medford; his grandchildren, Vanessa Bellitti, Sean Blanchard, Nicholas Matthews, Joshua Matthews, Lindsey Matthews, Jackie Meuse and Charlotte Meuse; his great grandchildren, Kristina, Lucienne, Eli, Ezra, Jackson and Evangeline; his former wife Genevieve Matthews (McGinnis); and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Stone of Medford and Maureen (Charles Houghton) of Stoneham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
