He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert "Coffey" and Margaret Wells (Murray); and his son Scott Wells. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wells (Richardson); his daughter Beth O'Neill (Brian); his grandchildren, Connor, Caroline and Dylan O'Neill; and his siblings, Peter Wells (Mary) and Marion Curry (Pete). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
