He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Kountze and Dorothy Kountze (Thomas); and his brother Wallace Kountze. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Kountze (Hilliman); his children, Michael Kountze and Katherine Kountze; his grandchildren, Kiana Kountze-Lee and Jalen Kountze; his children, Elmer and Shirley; and his caregiver Kim O'Callahan.
